There is a simple beauty in the smallest of things. This flower, lovingly grown from seed by my wife is but one example. This summer my wife has put her time, effort and considerable skill to proving the beauty that exists in nature. Examples abound inside and outside of our home.

One of the amazing things about my camera is that it makes me see things that I normally overlook. The wonderful thing is, after I’ve seen something (like this flower) through the lens and I break myself of the habit of saying … yeah it’s a purple flower … I’m free to see how truly lovely it is. After my eye comes away from the prism box, the beauty remains and I don’t need the camera to see it afterwards.

Mr Adams was right … Camera’s are objects that teach us to see without cameras.

Stop, and SEE the beauty that is all around you in your daily life.
